a Trio of Cocktails
As we have missed our last 2 months of cocktail of the month due to website changes, we have treated you to not one, not two but three delicious cocktails to create at home today. As we carry on with our manchester mobile bar, birmingham mobile bar, london mobile bar hire events, we get to interact with our customers and see what flavours, smells, tastes are going down a treat and which ones aren't.
Our cocktail bar hire events have been particularly busy with hen parties in the last month, so our emphasis has been on our female clients and their tastes. Having a cocktail bar hire at hen partie's has increased in popularity as it's the perfect occasion to have a bit of showmanship, create a more personalised drinking service for the group of ladies and of course enjoy cocktails!
Our first cocktail was created at a mobile bar hire Manchester after dinner event:-
The Basil Grande
A drink that epitomises the start of summer. Freshly picked strawberries add the sweet kick and are subtly complemented with the earthy flavour of basil.
Ingredients
25ml Belvedere
25ml Chambord Blackberry Liqueur
20ml Grand Marnier
50ml Pressed Cranberry Juice
5 Fresh ripe strawberries
4 fresh Basil Leaves
Garnish: Strawberry Rose and a Basil Boat with pepper.
Method
Muddle the strawberries and basil in the base of a boston glass. Add the rest of the ingredients and shake vigorously over ice. Double strain into a martini glass and garnish, add a dusting of black pepper to open the taste buds for the strawberry.
Elderflower & Gin Martini
Summer is clear here, bring out the gin cocktails! This absolute cracker is thoroughly refreshing on a summer night and went down a treat at a London mobile bar hire event in Central London.
Ingredients
50ml Hendricks Gin
12.5ml Elderflower Cordial
6 pieces fresh pressed cucumber
4 squeezes fresh lime juice
37.5ml pressed apple juice
Garnish: Cucumber fan and lime wedge.
Method
Add all ingredients into a boston glass, fill with cubed ice, shake until chilled. Double strain into a chilled martini glass.
Bahia
Named after the exotic state in Brazil, this rum based cocktail screams holidays with it's blend of coconut cream, fresh pineapple juice and maraschino cherry liqueur. This drink was inspired by a lovely Brazilian lady we met at our Birmingham mobile bar hire event in Solihull.
Ingredients
50ml white rum
25ml Maraschino cherry liqueur
35ml coconut cream
35ml fresh pineapple juice
10ml fresh apple juice
1 1/2 tsp cream
Garnish: Chunk of pineapple on side of highball glass
Method
Pour pineapple juice, coconut cream, white rum and maraschino into a shaker. Add a barspoon of cream, shake well and strain into a large highball glass half-filled with ice.
